Brother Alex

We were a bit naughty leaving the house right on lunch time with an empty tummy! It was inevitable that we'd end up eating out for lunch and sure enough here we are at Brother Alex in Thornbury. One silver lining is we're actually eating out somewhere closer to where we might end up buying

Reid had chorizo and scrambled eggs with garlic mushrooms and I had the breakfast roll - bacon omelette in Turkish bread

Food and coffee was really nice, cute little place, staff v friendly.

Great coffee and the bread and butter combo was sooo tasty!

I had scrambled eggs and bacon and Reid had the BLT!

Really nice atmosphere, would go again :-)

Fab b'day dinner with Reid! Some unusual dishes - octopus with dehydrated olives was the winner :-)

City to Sea

Mich and I completed the inaugural Melbourne City to Sea run today! It was a bit tough going for me, 2 blister stops and a toilet stop so our time was a bit disappointing!

None the less we did it! Well done us :-)

Then we battled our way through traffic back to Essendon for lunch at Cafe Denaro

Lexi's hair is getting so long and curly!

China Red

Reid & I had dinner out at China Red. We ordered plate loads of dumplings - although only managed to salvage 2 Xiao Long Bao

We sat beside 2 ladies on a "family" holiday from Adelaide - a weekend away from their families just to go shopping! Dreamy!

Pope Jone

Pope Jone is such a great café!!

The food is always amazing and so well presented and the staff are all really friendly!

Here with Reid for a lazy late lunch! Reid had his favourite coddled eggs and black pudding. I had perfect poached eggs with beautiful feta!
